What was I thinking?

I think I've blogged about this before, but inanyevent ...

One of my "tricks" for inspiration, or for feeling better about my business when I'm feeling down, is to look through my "sold" listings on Etsy.

Vintage whichgoose.

It goes back quite a ways, and I can see my changing hair styles, changing photo editing styles, and changing face.

It's amazing to see how young I looked!! These last few years have definitely been stressful, and you can totally see it on my face. No matter.

Look at my designs though! I think I was a bit more bold .... kind of funky and crazy!!

I guess I've settled in a bit with my work to be a bit more "wearable" ... but maybe it's time for a bit more craziness ...

maybe your older designs aren't as wearable, but they are gorgeous! i'd love to see you incorporate some of those "vintage whichgoose" ideas into your new work :-)

Artists: they need to push the envelope occasionally for their own development.

I think the third photo down is the sea tiara you made for me. I wear it to clean the house to the delight of the neighbor kids. I adore it.

I definitely am trying to get a bit more crazy with it all ... I'll be back with a "vintage style" line :)
