Cold. Sick. Cloudy.

WOW! It has been cold ... like how cold? REALLY cold.

Also, I've been sick for the last week (sinus thing.) 

I guess I couldn't have picked a better week to get sick really, since I wouldn't want to leave the house anyway. But, not it's been just about long enough and I am so ready to go do something!!

It's hard to give yourself a "sick day" when you work from home. 

There's always little things I can do when I'm just around the house ... and even though it's SUPER cloudy outside today, I took some pictures for the shop of a new little comb.

Here's the before and after once I took it into Photoshop ...

Notice the overall blue color of the background in the original? That's the cloudy skies.

So, I've added some warming filters, some extra sharpening, and a bit of a vignette (darker edges)!

AHHH!!!! I'm going stir-crazy. seriously!! We got like 30" of snow here in Maryland. I am STUCK.

And Rich had to go in for emergency work, so there went our weekend AND super bowl (stupid bowl) party plans!!! :( So ... here I am all alone. TRAPPED. Pretty much just eating junk food and watching bad TV.

So far today I watched:

1.) Keeping up with the Kardashians (sp?)

2.) Scary Movie II

3.) Some random infomercials about a griller and an exercise program.

The good news: I don't have to go anywhere ... especially not work ... and I can basically stay shut in here as long as I can stand it. And Rich says he's coming over after work on Tuesday ... so I know I'll at least get out of the house then :)

And tomorrow, I might try a walk down the snow-covered street to the Starbucks. We'll see if I have any energy left after trying to dig out my car.

I tried to find some statistics about how February is a depressing month, but no luck.

More movie inspiration!!!! YAY! The Phantom of the Opera---good flick. Really dark and gothic. Makes me want to make little sparkly hair clips .... And wish I had really long, curly, black hair!! AH! jealous. 

I think with the winter coming (pretty much here) I'm trying to branch out (no pun intended) and get away from the natural elements of my crowns--at least until spring. It just seems more natural to use more vintage elements and things of the like...

So, big crafting day (Sunday) is only a day away! Amanda's coming over for movies and gossip and crafting....and I need supplies.

Tomorrow I have to buy/procure the following before work:

1.) Vines

2.) Headbands

3.) Clips

4.) Ingredients for dinner

PLUS! I have to go to the Post Office! I can't really complain though. If I wasn't super busy, I would be super bored :)

But seriously. I need to go. I've been shopping online and can get the following for under $1000.

On an etsy note: I am starting to get paranoid about winter. I mean, the trees will die. I will have no vines for my crowns! I must start hoarding like a fat-cheeked squirrel until then. What do we think about Xmas crowns? I'm thinking sugar plum fairy meets ghost of christmas past...
