ha.. i recently bought this dress as well and absolutely love it i feel like jenny lewis meets zooey deschanel whenever i wear it. i say go for the pink it always fades anyway so why not try it.
my hair was purple or pink or blue for about 3 years straight. i lOVED it, but the upkeep is intense. manic panic fades so fast that you practically have to dye your hair once a week and going to the salon all the time costs a butt load. plus "fantasy" colors usually bleed on everything. almost all the collars of all of my shirts have a purple ring.

Personally, I think you should leave your hair the way it is. That's just my take on it.
If you want the pink still though, maybe pink highlights?
