The green-eyed monster

If you want to be happy, be. ~Leo Tolstoy

It can seem like life is never quite good enough. No matter how hard I work, there will always be someone better.

One of the main struggles of life is to learn to be happy with what we have ... it sounds simple, but it's almost impossible I've found.

When I stop and think about it, my life is pretty incredible. I want for nothing besides the occasional overprices Anthropologie item.

I'm generally healthy (besides all the anxiety issues) and have a loving family and boyfriend.

But I think everyone who has a goal tends to compare where they are in their lives with others. It's not good.

There. That is my lesson for the day. :)

From the sounds of this post, I think you and I are probably alike :) And I have been thinking the same things lately!

I completely understand this feeling, and I've worked hard in recent months to move past it, and be grateful for what I have, regardless of what anyone else has. We all have our own struggles and successes.

(One little tip I developed was that I couldn't compare my "real life" to anyone else's "blog life." I have to even it out by comparing my "blog life" to theirs. What we choose to display to the outside world can never be the whole story, and in my blog, my life stands up just as well as anyone's.)

Seriously, woman... I found you on style me pretty and your life work is making more pretty! Like you said, focus on the positive things like you're doing and shake off the comparisons. It's not fair to you; they're completely different people. You are awesome and talented!
