We all need something to look forward to.
My problem is that I usually choose to look forward (dread) something negative coming up in my future.
BUT, I'm trying to remedy that.
So, here is a happy thing that I will be looking forward to: The Maryland Renaissance Festival!!
I first went to the RenFest when I was in junior high (or high school?) I was part of the history club for a semester and this was one of the trips we went on. (Yeah, I was THAT cool.)
But ... it was SO COOL. I've been going or trying to go as much as possible ever since.
Didn't go last year due to certain relationship and living situation upheavals.
BUT in a few weeks, Rich and I are going as a part of my 28th birthday celebrations!! He's never been, but my descriptions of "Steak on a Stake" and "Knave Sandwiches" and "Chocolate-Covered Cheesecakes" seem to have him willing to go.
This year will be different. This year will be happy!
Here I am 2 (or 3?) years ago watching some jousting with 1 beer and 2 turkey legs!! haha :)

Oh! I've never been to one but I always thought they were kinda awesome :) good on you for going! :)
Wow, I've always wanted to go to one =) Sounds exciting!
Yes! Everyone should go :) hehehe I think there's a good one in New York too!
My friend John works there! He's one of the actors in some Shakespeare show... my friend Karissa went last week and (while rather drunk) started shouting his name like she had a question. He then forgot his first line and the whole thing was rather comical. End of story :)
I am excited to go to our Michigan Ren fair. It is a permanent fixture here every weekend in September nd we have been going every year since we moved back to Michigan.
