First of all, apologies for the larger-than-average lapse in my posting! Things have gotten CUH-RAY-ZEE in my life as of late and I just haven't had the time.

So tonight, I was laying away in bed, listing to the request show on the soft rock/romance radio station, and I felt this NEED to blog!! I guess it's taken the place of an actual journal or diary. And it's better, in a way, because instead of hiding away my thoughts in a locked book, they are out on the Interwebs for all to see! It's cathartic in a way I suppose.

Anyway, back to the craziness.

If you've been reading this blog since its inception, you'll have followed me along three moves!!! It's always in the blistering months of summer, and it's always up a couple flights of stairs.

This time (we all hope) will be the last time!! (for a while at least...)

I'm really excited to be moving in with Rich. I know It'll be a big change, but I really can't think of any negatives ... EXCEPT ...

Rich and I decided to undertake this whole house renovation of painting walls and new carpets, wood floor, etc. at the same time that I'm moving in box by box. Everything looks GREAT so far, but it seems we'll be living in a construction zone for the first 2 or 3 weeks of our co-habitation.

Nothing like a little added stress! :)

But I think I'm OK with it ... and willing to deal ... This whole Etsy full-time thing has really changed my thinking about life and what is really needed to be happy. I'm slowing starting to learn that the bed can be left un-made for a day or two and nothing bad will happen :) The key is to concentrate on loving the ones that love you back.

Sort of big news!

Sort of big news ya'll!

I'm moving in with my boyfriend, Rich, in 2 months!!! It's not super crazy, since I've moved somewhere new each year (at this time of the year) for the last 3 or 4 years... but it's a BIG STEP nonetheless!

The biggest news of this big news is that I'll get my very own ETSY ROOM!!

WOOHOO!! Right now, I have a room upstairs that I *thought* would be my Etsy room, but it got too hot in the summer, so I just use it for packing up stuff and storing product/supplies.

This is where I do the majority of my work now:

The key point is that just beyond the couch is the TV. Bad, I know ... but I guess I'm used to having that sort of background noise when I work!

ANYWAY... the point of this post is that I have to start thinking about how to DESIGN my new studio room!!

This is a big decision.

A studio must be condusive to creativity .. and at the same time -- allow you to concentrate AND feel cozy and relaxed!

The main ingredients seem to be:

BRIGHT COLORS.

LOTS OF BOOKS.

SOFT LIGHTING.

LOTS OF INSPIRATION. (plus a little bit of messiness).

I think I'm also thinking of putting in some sort of cupboard/built-in storage system.

Ideas?

Aaaaaaaand I'm spent.

MOVING!! AHH!!

I had no idea I was so fashionable! This nice lady from this blog: inventingweddings made my comb into a really stylish idea!! :) hehe I especially love that ring at the bottom. She has a rundown of where you can buy stuff at her blog.

Anyway, the real reason I am writing this blog:

NO INTERNET TILL FRIDAY!! Ah!! The official move-in is taking place and the cable guy is coming then (between the hours of 8 and 5 haha). SO, what this means for you:

1.) If you purchase something, I won't be able to mail it out until MONDAY.

2.) If you ask me a question, I won't be able to answer it until FRIDAY.

Thanks for understanding! I will be soooooooo happy when all this is taken care of and I can get down to some serious Etsy business again :)

I feel a bit on the frazzled side of life.

I'm about half-way moved out of here, and half-way moved in to my new place.

Rich and I spent all of yesterday hauling stuff. 

Anyway, as I was strapping my worldly possessions into the back of his truck, I was struck by just how much of them I have. Like really, why do I need all six seasons of King of the Hill on DVD?

On the up-side, my old one-room apartment (of which I am inhabiting until Thursday) is looking BIG. I've got some serious floor space now that it's getting emptied out! 

We tried to do a little romantic dance last night on the floor, but alas, Rich has no rhythm :) He tries though.

(MOVING...AH! My life in boxes.)

I'm a crier. I cry at sad movies, I cry at happy movies. I cry at romantic movies, even (sometimes) the end of intense action movies! But I especially cry from music. I'm sure driving down the road is dangerous for me most of the time because I frequently tear up!

But, with so much routine put into crying, I tend to depend on it for a stress relief when I'm stressed out. And what other time does one get stressed out more except when they are in the process of MOVING!

So, I have compiled a few videos of songs that will give me (and maybe you!) some happy tears.

It's healthy, I think :)

Branching out

SO---I made my first hat. I've done some crochet work in the past, but this is some hard-core sewing!

I made it all by hand, all by me-self :)

I'm sure the next one will go quicker and more neatly, but this first one has more charm to it, I think.

BIG NEWS! I move into my new apartment this month!! How exciting. AND--It will have my very own Etsy studio room!! WHOO!

You can't imagine how much of a step up this is for me! Right now I have:

--one room

--no washer or dryer

-- no dish washer

-- no cable TV

--- one bathroom

It's like I'm living in the woods! (Oh, and props to Thoreau for the quote ... he knew all about living in the woods.)

I will put up pictures as soon as I finish DECORATING! Ah..the best part of any move. :)

Also, I think a trip to IKEA is in order.

Hello to anyone who actually reads this blog! 

Just wanted to check in, say "hey." I haven't posted in a while because I was dumped and had to move out in a hurry. So, this past week has been a shambles and it's not getting any easier yet. 

Trying to stay busy with etsy---just started a MOVING SALE/CLEARANCE. whooo hoo. So, I will keep you updated on the happenings of my screw-up (at the moment) life.
