Here's some things that have caught my eye recently and have gotten the wheels a'churnin'! .... enjoy :)

Some famous designer...forget which. Could see this being done with wire hangers...

Princess Bride... sigh... this would require serious beadwork, of which I have zero patience.

Royal Ascot Ladies' Day .... kind of like the Kentucky Derby...but BETTER.

I love a Princess Bride!!!
ReplyDeleteOo! Pretty pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing what you post and what you make! You're passing on the craftiness inspiration with your creations!
I love the flapper head piece! Have you seen the little sleep hats from the 20's? They're darling, a lot of lace and fancy ribbon:)
ReplyDeletePrincess Bride is such a classic, I always wanted to be Princess Buttercup........

ReplyDeleteI bet that flapper headpiece could be done with starch to reduce the amount of wire you'd need. Like this crown!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely pictures to inspire you.
I was going to suggest starch too :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images. I love Buttercup!

hey you! Just found your stuff on Etsy - really, really beautiful. Thought you may want to check out Dutch jewelry designer lady Bibi van der Velden. She mainly works with vintage / found items, one of a kind pieces. http://www.bibivandervelden.com/ may it inspire you as much as it inspired me :)
ReplyDeleteI vote flapper piece now. It's a must. You would rock it with your own "twang" to it. (Can you tell I live in Atlanta, Ga using that word? Haha. At least I'm also born in England so I can use whatever background is convenient!)
ReplyDeleteOh, and second the starch idea...her is a neat link for your benefit:

Whoops...sorry for the typos.
ReplyDeleteI loved them all, even the weird hanger crown thingy. Ha ha. I love your shop! I don't know how I've missed your blog for so long??? Silly.
